Dr. Joe Taravella is a licensed clinical psychologist. His supportive therapeutic approach helps children, individuals, couples, and families achieve their greatest potential. After receiving his Master’s Degree in General-Experimental Psychology, Dr. Joe earned his second Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology while pursuing his doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Marital and Family Therapy.
Dr. Joe embodies a compassionate, understanding, and respectful approach to all human beings who want to be heard, understood, and validated. Implementing cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic theories in treatment, Dr. Joe’s goal for all individuals is to learn to effectively communicate, understand oneself, and break maladaptive patterns. Dr. Joe has helped many individuals and families begin the process of healing by empowering them to live enriching and joyful lives. Dr. Joe is keenly aware of breakdowns in communications in relationships. He is skilled in getting clients to effectively communicate and work together in a collaborative divorce.
Dr. Joe proudly served on the Board of Directors for Kid Angel Foundation, a non-profit organization helping children falling behind in school. In addition to his several advanced degrees and years of clinical training under his belt, Dr. Joe will tell you that his best training has been raising his own three children who are all fourteen months apart in age. He is living his own dream of having a family and has dedicated his life to helping others fulfill their dreams by evolving toward a healthy and rewarding existence.
