Psychologist Dr. Joe Taravella, implements cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic theories within a systems approach to help individuals, couples, and families resolve crisis situations and embrace healthier, more productive lives. Dr. Joe is skilled to help clients effectively communicate and collaborate together. He also provides the tools necessary to avoid future turmoil by recognizing and identifying the signs of developing problems. Dr. Joe is is a children’s book author and proud to have served on the Board of Directors for Kid Angel Foundation in San Diego, California. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Rehabilitation at NYU School of Medicine and the former Supervisor of Pediatric Psychology Services and Co-director of the psychology internship training program at NYU Langone Health, Rusk Rehabilitation.  Dr. Joe has worked with Dateline NBC, CBS, FOX, MSNBC, WPIX, Wall Street Journal, and speaks at conferences, schools, and community centers across the United States.
